The Perry County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring "A Little Linden Christmas" on Saturday, December 3, 2022, 10 am to 5 pm, on Main Street. Local merchants, as well as other vendors, will be open for holiday shoppers, while enjoying Christmas music. If weather prohibits being outdoors, the event will move to the Azbill Community Center.
The baking contest will be divided into a 12 and under age group; and 13 and up, with three categories in both groups: cupcakes, cookies and pies.
Mixes may be used for cupcakes and cookies, but be creative and make them your own. You may also use a pre-made pie crust in the pie category.
First, second and third place ribbons will be awarded in each category for both age groups, along with best overall cupcake, cookie and pie prize, and a Grand Champion winner overall out of all entries submitted.
Cupcakes and cookie entries should have no less than four on a plate. Pie entries should be whole and uncut.
Prizes will be given to overall winners in each category and to the grand champion. More details later on the prizes.
This will be back this year as well.
There are currently about 30 vendors signed up to set up booths along Highway 412 and around the Courthouse in Downtown Linden, and there is room for about that much more to fill the downtown streets and spread the Christmas cheer and joy with everyone who visits with us.
For more info, contact the Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Allyson Hinson Dickey, 931-589-2453, if you have an idea and would like to be included in the event.
Vendors, reserve your space, register and pay online at Christmas 2022 Vendors Registration.
