Grants are offered by the State of Tennessee to Linden for economic development which includes new businesses, new residents and infrastructure. This is important with so many new residents moving to Perry County.

Education in Perry County is split between the two towns, Linden and Lobelville. Lobelville has a grade school that goes from first grade to 8th grade.
