Wess started working for the Town of Linden in 2000, and has worked his way up from the bottom. He began as a meter reader, utility worker, Zoning Officer, City Manager and now our current Mayor.
Ashley Wheeler Weems began her career with City Hall around 2005, when Mayor Jim Azbill was still running the show in Linden, and she was learning the position of City Recorder.
Kristy has worked as the City Recorder for the Town of Linden since 2017, after 30 years working for a non-profit. She maintains the financial records, budgeting, recording minutes of our Mayor/Aldermen meetings, and handles daily transactions such as business license, utility payments and more.
Each year there are annual festivals and celebrations to encourage participation of the community and bring in visitors who have never experienced Linden or Perry County. Some of the annual events are:
