Garbage service is only available in the City Limits.  There are restrictions as to when and how much you can throw away.  See below:

City Garbage Service

• Pickup on Mondays and Thursday
• Place garbage in a container at the curb.
• Not to exceed 48 pounds.

In addition, there are private companies who will serve outside the city limits, and the County maintains a landfill where you can dispose of large items not normally considered garbage.  Fees may apply.
