Welcome to Linden, the seat of Perry County. We are a small town located less than 100 miles from Nashville, Tennessee. Linden is ideally situated in the middle of everything Tennessee. We are still a community with small town values who help and support each other. Full of history and uniqueness of small business and artistry.
Bordered by the Tennessee River and Buffalo River; we have the ideal areas great for camping, kayaking/canoeing, and swimming. If you are looking for good hunting, Perry County has some of the best of Tennessee.
Within the Linden area, we have Mousetail Landing State Park and Lady’s Bluff. These parks are great for hiking and spending time with your family. We also have the Iron Furnace, which is the only remaining “double stack” furnace in the western highland rim of Tennessee and is on the Civil War Trails for Tennessee.
With State Highway 412 running from east to west bringing folks through our historic downtown, we enjoy interacting with visitors and new residents. We offer some great shops and small businesses in Linden that are run by local artisans. Looking for that unique gift? You can find it here, and at reasonable prices too.
So come on down, y'all. Go to City Hall and the Linden mayor is probably right there and you will get a big welcome too. Mayor Wess Ward is usually in his office, but never too busy to make sure you are welcomed in a big Linden welcome style.
