This year, 2021, Linden water won the award for the Best Water in Tennessee!  

We always knew the water here was better than what we could get on the road.  Isn't that why we buy bottled water?  But wait!  We don't need to buy it here.  The Linden Water Department entered the TAUD (Tennessee Authority of Utility Districts) water contest in the past and came in second several times, but this year, 2021, our town won!  What sweet victory.  Here's how it works.

Each TAUD Region conducts a contest to determine the Best Tasting Water in the Region each year. Winners in each Region were entered in the Statewide contest to determine The Best Tasting Water in Tennessee. This contest was conducted at The TAUD Annual Conference in May 2021. Region Leaders of each Region provided the Judges for this contest.  The winning water will be entered into the National contest The Great American Water Taste Test that will be held in Washington D.C. as part of The NRWA Rural Water Rally in the Spring of 2022.

Linden Water Department, as the winning water for Tennessee in 2021, will be entered into the National contest The Great American Water Taste Test that will be held in Washington D.C. as part of The NRWA Rural Water Rally.  TAUD will fly the winning water and a representative from the winning utility to Washington for the contest. TAUD will cover the cost of the flight, hotel and meals for the representative.
